“National Socialists” want to set up a party

 print this
Moves are under way to set up a Nazi party in Finland. According to a news item on the Finnish Broadcasting Company (YLE), the group wants to register itself under the name of the National Socialist Workers’ Party, the same as the title of the German Nazi Party under the Third Reich.
An official at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs told YLE that the constitution of the party is written in such moderate tones that it would not be possible to block the establishment of the party on the basis of racism or fascism.

The party plans to run candidates in next year’s municipal elections, says the group’s chairman Pekka Luoma.
Luoma estimates that there are dozens of Nazi activists around Finland.
