A new album will be released later this month from the Finnish pop musician Aki Sirkesalo, who went missing along with his wife and children in the Asian tsunami disaster, and must now be presumed to have perished along with around 170 other Finns.
Sirkesalo's studio album "Sanasta miestä" will be in shops on February 23rd. The CD will be released at the request of Sirkesalo's relatives.
EMI Finland will donate the profits of the album to a charity that is to be announced later.
Sirkesalo was actively involved in every production phase of his new album, including its visual appearance.
The Finnish-language website that Sirkesalo designed last autumn can be found at www.akisirkesalo.com.
