A NEW LOOK (at last)

Most of our readers will have noticed by now that something has changed. At long last, after countless promises and almost as many disappointments, we have altered the look of the International Edition's pages. They now follow more closely the pattern of the Finnish-language Verkkoliite.
The most significant change is that the dailies and weeklies are now placed side-by-side, rather than one on top of the other. This should, we hope, make them more accessible without annoying scrolling down.

In all other respects, the pages should operate as they always have. The long-awaited searchable Archive is in the pipeline, but for now please struggle on with the non-searchable one.

Behind the scenes, we have also made a number of significant changes, most importantly waving a fond farewell to the sometimes eccentric and creaking old editorial system and linking up instead with the system used by the rest of the online newspaper.
This should make life easier, once we have got over the inevitable teething problems, most of which will probably be of the "BCAK" (Between Chair and Keyboard) variety, as we learn new routines. Please bear with us if there are any glitches, and we in turn will try to sort them out as quickly as possible.
