Former Finnish President Martti Ahtisaari is to present proposal to be presented to Serbia and the province of Kosovo by on Kosovo’s future position at the end of this month or early February.
      According to advance assessments, Kosovo will get an extended autonomy or a limited independence.
     
In his role as Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary General, Ahtisaari and his staff operating in Vienna, are working on the proposal together with the so-called Kosovo Contact Group.
      The parties to the conflict will receive the proposal, and Ahtisaari will expect their comments.
