BREAKING NEWS: Settlement reached in Finnair pilots’ strike
Normal schedules expected by Friday
Both the Finnish national airline Finnair and the Finnish Air Line Pilots Association (SLL) have accepted a mediation proposal in the strike by Finnair pilots, which put Finnair’s scheduled services to a virtual standstill on Monday and Tuesday. Both sides accepted a mediation proposal by National Conciliator Esa Lonka.
Finnair services are to resume partially on Wednesday, and should be back to normal schedules on Friday.
Finnair expects to fly about half of its scheduled flights on Wednesday. Two thirds of capacity should be reached on Thursday, and schedules are expected to be back to normal on Friday.
