Back to the job market via the Finance School
 |
The Finance School, which was added to the Trade Register just last week, will offer training services to unemployed finance professionals in order to help them return to the workforce.
The training programmes of the Finance School are geared towards recruitment. Newly graduated business professionals who have not yet found jobs can also participate in the programme.
The first training programme will begin in May and last up to December. The participants work full-time in financial sector firms, learning about financial management, the securities market, investment alternatives, and financial instruments while they work.
The participants will also take the brokerage accreditation exams organised by the Finnish Association of Securities Dealers. The aim of the course is that they would continue to work for the same companies after the trainee period.
"Based on the applications, the applicants are very experienced", observes Petri Kerkelä, one of the founders of the Finance School.
Kerkelä and the two other founders of the school have all worked in the financial sector. They believe that there is a niche for training programmes that lead up to recruitment in the field, as it is a safe way for firms to increase their head counts.
"If they find the right type of person, there is always enough work."
