 print this
Jason Dockrill, 34, who murdered a Finnish student in London last year, was sentenced by a London court to life in prison on Monday. Dockrill battered to death 23-year-old Suvi Aronen in March 2003 when she was on her way home from a university lecture.
According to the sentence handed down, Dockrill will be eligible for parole only after having served a minimum of 25 years.

Aronen was found in a patch of woodland on Wanstead Common in East London on March 21, 2003. She had been savagely sexually assaulted and her head had been battered with a brick.
Aronen's mother happened to call her daughter's mobile phone while she was being attacked. She told the court how she heard her daughter calling for help and telling her attacker to leave her alone.
Aronen's parents immediately alerted the Finnish police and contacted their daughter's landlord in London. A search party found Suvi Aronen's body the following day not far from her apartment.
In court, Dockrill admitted killing Aronen but denied murder on grounds of diminished responsibility.
