Car-Free Day in Helsinki
It is probably a little late, if you have already driven into Helsinki by now, but just in case you have not, Wednesday September 22nd is "Car-Free Day" in the capital, as a part of European Mobility Week.
A dozen other Finnish cities are also taking part, with parts of the downtown areas closed off to vehicle traffic and special discounted tickets available for public transport.
The map shows the areas of Helsinki which are off-limits to cars between 7.00 and 22.00.
