Channel Four news claims some tortured Iraqi refugees to seek asylum in
Finland
The evening newscast of Finland's Nelonen (Channel Four Finland) on Wednesday stated that a number of Iraqi nationals who have been tortured by the current administration are seeking asylum in Finland. According to the accusations, the country's new authorities are continuing the human rights violations of the government of Saddam Hussein.
In its recent report, Amnesty International was also concerned that human rights may be sacrificed in Iraq, and that people may be tortured ostensibly in the name of counter-terrorism.
The Iraqi refugees who were interviewed by Channel Four told the news that those who were subject to the Saddam administration are now punishing members of the former regime.
