Advance voting in the Parliamentary elections scheduled for Sunday, April 17th, began on Thursday morning at 901 locations around Finland. Eligible voters can cast ballots at any of these locations through Tuesday next week.
On the actual Election Day, voters must go to their assigned polling stations.
Eligible to vote in the Parliamentary elections are Finnish citizens who turn 18 no later than Election Day – April 17th.

Polling stations for early voting include libraries and post offices.
Eligible voters have been sent a notification by mail of their right to vote. Bringing this notice speeds up the early voting process, but it is not mandatory. However, voters are required to show a photo ID, such as a passport or driving licence.

Early voting has been possible in Finland since 1970. Currently, about 40 per cent of voters cast their ballots in advance, and the rest on the actual Election Day.
