Forssa-Loimaa District Court has found that the construction of the new Helsinki-Turku motorway involved a good deal of selling fraudulent receipts and other illegal activities.
The court handed out a total of eleven prison sentences in its verdict on Thursday, as well as six bans on operating a business.
In its extensive economic crime investigation, the court agreed with nearly all demands made by the prosecution.
The convicts were ordered to pay more than EUR 1.1 million in profits from the criminal activities, plus interest, to tax authorities.

The case centred around three construction companies, where various economic crimes took place from 2001 to 2007.
The harshest sentence was handed down to Olli Toivo Juhani Mattila, who was given a four-year prison sentence and a seven-year ban on business activities.
Matti Kalevi Mattila, 44, was jailed for three years, and banned from business for five.
