FACTFILE: Fur sales on the increase around the world

Sales of fur garments has grown on the global scale for seven years running, says the Itnernational Fur Trade Federation.
     
Sales growth has been rapid especially in Russia and China, and considerable also in Western Europe and the United States.
     
In Finland, sales statistics of fur garments are lumped together with leather garments, so exact figures on retail sales of furs are not available.
