Established in Helsinki in 1994, the band is Finland’s internationally best-known rock group. Nearly three million of its recordings have been sold worldwide.
     
The first release was the EP 666 Ways to Love: Prologue (1996).

      Razorblade Romance (1999),
      Deep Shadows and Brilliant Highlights (2001),
      Love Metal (2003),
      and the collection And Love Said No (2004).
     
The members of the band are Ville Valo  (vocals, composition, and lyrics), Mikko "Linde" Lindström  (guitar), Mikko "Mige" Paananen (bass), Mika "Gas" Karppinen (drums), and Janne "Burton" Puurtinen (keyboards).
