FACTFILE: Young Designer of the Year chosen for a fourth time
Design Forum Finland and the Finnish Society for Crafts and Design established the Young Designer of the Year prize in 2000.
The prize, worth EUR 5,000, is awarded to designers who show exceptional, original, and high-quality skill in graphic design, interior decoration, handcrafts, or industrial design.
Previous recipients of the Young Designer of the Year award include designers Harri Koskinen and Ilkka Suppanen (2000), architect Karola Sahi and interior designer Eeva Lithovius (2001), and designer and carpenter Tuuli Autio and designer Pyry Tamminen (2002). In 2003 and 2004 the prize was not given out.
