Families call for more comprehensive studies for children suffering from narcolepsy

 print this
The parents of families with children who are suffering from narcolepsy are to meet with representatives of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health in Helsinki today.

One of the mothers notes that parents from most narcolepsy families are to attend the meeting. She says that the current number of such families is more than 40.

At present, it is being investigated whether the rapid surge in cases of narcolepsy among children could be caused by the H1N1 vaccine or the swine flu virus itself.
The parents are now calling for thorough examination of children suffering from narcolepsy.
The narcolelpsy families have been looking forward to a meeting with specialists for a long time.
