Finland fails to reach Eurovision Song Contest final Geir Rönning

Finland’s Geir Rönning and his song Why has failed to reach the finals of the Eurovision Song Contest.
      The Finnish entry was one of 25 songs taking part in the semifinals in the Ukrainian capital Kiev, on Thursday. The finalists were chosen by telephone vote.
      The ten countries whose entries were voted into the final are Israel, Croatia, Latvia, Macedonia, Moldova, Norway, Romania, Switzerland, Denmark, and Hungary.
      A total of 24 countries will take part in Saturday’s final competition in Kiev. In addition to the ten countries chosen on Thursday, finalists include the host country Ukraine, the main financial contributors, as well as last year’s top scorers.
