Finland announced on Wednesday that it would provide humanitarian assistance to Gaza.
Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Paavo Väyrynen (Centre) said on Wednesday that Finland would provide half a million euros to help the work of the Red Cross in assisting the victims of the recent fighting.
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has 75 workers in Gaza, and the Palestinian Red Crescent has nearly 300 workers there.

Finnchurchaid, the international aid organisation of the Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Church, is accepting donations for work in Gaza.
Donations can be made to the organisation’s bank account - Sampo 800018-223340. The word “Gaza” should be added to the message field.
