Finland’s national airline Finnair has updated its estimate of the operational result for the remainder of the current year. The company announced on Tuesday that its operational result for 2007 is now expected to exceed EUR 90 million.
When announcing the Group’s third-quarter results at the beginning of November, the company said that it anticipated its full-year operational result to exceed EUR 70 million and that the last quarter was expected to be profitable.
The previous estimate was rather moderate, as the company’s total operating profit for the period from January through September was already more than EUR 72 million.
"The Finnair Group’s operations during the fourth quarter of the year have developed more favourably than anticipated and for this reason the operational result for the current quarter is expected to be clearly profitable", the company noted in its statement on Tuesday.
