Finnair will order five new Airbus A321ER aircraft for its European traffic. Based on list prices the value of the order is over EUR 400 million. According to Taneli Hassinen, VP Financial Communications, in practice the company will acquire the aircraft for a slightly cheaper price.

The range of the new planes is more than 5,000 kilometres, which will for instance enable non-stop flights from Finland to the Canary Islands.
According to Finnair, the order will replace the previously-planned deal to buy two new long-haul aircraft for 2012-2013.
