Finnish troops belonging to the NATO-led ISAF forces in Afghanistan were once again the target of gunfire in Northern Afghanistan on Sunday morning.
Nobody was injured in the attack, but vehicles belonging to the Swedish-Finnish patrol suffered slight damage.
The incident took place during a routine patrol on the western fringe of the forces' area of responsibility, some 150km from Mazar-e-Sharif.
The men were targeted with small-arms fire and returned fire to defend themselves.
In the course of the autumn Finnish troops have on several occasions been involved in firefights of varying scale in the increasingly troubled northern provinces of the country.
