The colossal stage for Irish rock giants U2 is starting to take shape on the grass infield at the Olympic Stadium in anticipation of the band’s gigs in Helsinki on Friday and Saturday.
During the rock veterans’ 360° Tour, the audience is able to view the artists from several different directions.
The sound systems are placed high above the stage, as is the gigantic cylindrical screen displaying images in all directions.
Both concerts are sold out. The roughly 50,000 tickets for the Friday show vanished inside an hour when they came on sale last October, and a second date was later added on the 21st.
