Finnish President Tarja Halonen and her Russian colleague Dmitri Medvedev are to meet in Russia's Black Sea resort of Sochi on Tuesday of next week.
During their meeting the two heads of state will discuss current international topics.
The Russian President’s summer residence is situated in Sochi. Halonen will arrive there at the invitation of President Medvedev.
According to the Office of the President, Halonen’s itinerary also includes visiting the City of Sochi and observing preparations for the 2014 Winter Olympics granted to the city.
A good many Finnish firms, particularly in the construction sector, have expressed interest in getting involved in the Olympics project (see March article).
