The annual Helsinki Book Fair opens today, Thursday, and runs through until Sunday evening.
      The event in the Fair Centre in Pasila will be open from 10:00 to 18:00 today, Saturday and Sunday, and from 10:00 to 20:00 on Friday.
      A total of 293 stand-holders have registered, with all the main publishers and booksellers represented in addition to museums, theatres, and festivals, and antiquarian bookstores.
     
The ticket also enables bookworms to take a look at something to sip and nibble on while reading, as this year's Wine, Food, and Good Living Exhibition is being held under the same roof and over the same four days.
      It is expected that the expanded event will attract at least as many visitors as the 69,000 who showed up last year.
