Helsinki Region Transport to study Metro and tram passengers

Helsinki Region Transport to study Metro and tram passengers
 print this
Helsinki Region Transport (HSL/HRT) is conducting a study on the types of tickets used by tram and Metro passengers in September and October this year. In addition to the types of tickets used, the passengers will be asked their place of residence and the average length of their travel.
The study will begin on tram routes on September 5th and at Metro stations on October 3rd.

The data will be collected by ticket inspectors, who will ask passengers entering a tram or metro to show their tickets, and to say where they live, and what their destination stop is.
The information will be used for the planning and development of municipal transport and in determining the monetary contributions of the different cities involved in Helsinki Region Transport to HSL/HRT.
