Between July and September 2009, Nokia’s total sales in China, elsewhere in Asia, and in the Pacific area were close to EUR 3.8 billion.
The total sales of mobile phones, services, and Nokia’s subsidiary Navteq in these markets were EUR 2.1 billion, while the sales volume of Nokia Siemens Networks was EUR 1.6 billion.
In Europe Nokia’s total sales were EUR 3.6 billion, of which the share of Nokia Siemens Networks was EUR 1.1 billion.
The volume of sales shrank most in Latin America and North America.
In terms of units, the sales of mobile phones declined by 31% in North America and by 12% in Latin America compared with the corresponding period last year.
