We apologise most sincerely for the late publication of this week's weeklies.
The venerable editorial system used by the International Edition underwent a scheduled shutdown for maintenance on Tuesday afternoon.
Regrettably, the one party not made privy to this rather important piece of information was the International Edition.
With fingers on the "publish" button, suddenly everything went dark.
We have been assured that a new editorial system is "on its way" in the new year.
It cannot come soon enough, though it is quite clear that Helsingin Sanomat's Finnish-language operations take precedence over a free-access digest in English.
