Minister for Foreign Affairs Alexander Stubb (Nat. Coalition Party) has named MP Pekka Haavisto (Green) as his special representative for dealing with crises in the Horn of Africa.
     
Haavisto has previously served as the special representative of the European Union in Sudan and has been involved in various tasks of the United Nations.
      Stubb says that special attention is being paid this year to promoting peace and security in Africa.
