Nordea Jean Sibelius Orchestra is to support young gifted musicians across Finland

In order to support young gifted musicians, Nordea Bank and Allmark, a company administering the Jean Sibelius trademark, have concluded an extensive cooperation agreement with the Association of Finnish Music Schools, the Conservatoire Association of Finland, and the youth department of Sibelius Academy.
      In line with the agreement, Nordea has set up the Nordea Jean Sibelius Orchestra, which will provide young Finnish musicians with an opportunity to practise and perform under the leadership of top professionals.
     
"Young gifted musicians need opportunities to play in big orchestras", commented Conductor Jukka-Pekka Saraste, the Orchestra’s first Artistic Director.
      The aim of the multiple-year project is to involve all talented young musicians in various parts of the country.
