The Supreme Court has refused to grant two young people convicted in the burning of Porvoo Cathedral over a year ago the right to appeal their sentences.
In a decision handed down by the Helsinki Court of Appeals, the man who set the fire was sentenced to six and a half years in prison for an aggravated act of destruction in the fire that was set in the early hours of May 29th 2006.
The two others who accompanied him were given fines.
