Season's Greetings

We would like to take this opportunity to wish our readers A Very Happy and Peaceful Christmas (or Happy Holidays for those with a yen for political correctness), and to say that we will be back on Monday with whatever news has happened over the weekend, which we earnestly hope will not be much.
     
Next week will be as normal, except for the fact that we are not producing a set of weeklies until after the New Year, and Friday December 31st will also be a day without the International Edition.
     
Try not to eat and drink too much, and DO remember to look after those candles. The recent fire in Helsinki, though not caused in that way, should be enough of a warning.
     
     
If any of you have time on your hands over the weekend, you may like to try the crossword that has been added to the weeklies. It's not interactive, so you will need to print out the clues and the grid.
