 print this
The Ronald McDonald statue that was ”kidnapped” from the McDonald’s restaurant in Ruoholahti in West Helsinki on Monday of last week was discovered in a house search carried out by the police on Tuesday.
The mascot was stolen by a group calling itself the Food Liberation Army (FLA). The group posted a video on the Internet in which it asked seven questions of McDonald’s.

The group also threatened to “execute” the statue, if it did not receive answers to its questions by Friday of this week.
One example of the video on YouTube had been viewed by more than a quarter of a million people.
Among the questions put to the company were what responsibility the chain takes for the consequences of fast food culture, such as increased obesity and diabetes.
The police have apprehended two individuals with no previous criminal background suspected of the misdeed.
According to the authorities, they are of Finnish nationality and from Helsinki.
