 print this
Tiral vaccinations against swine flu are already under way in Sweden. The first test group includes 168 persons over the age of 60.

The aim is to test how the swine flu vaccine works when given simultaneously with the vaccine against seasonal influenza.
The test persons in Örebro and Eskilstuna will get a vaccine named as Pandemrix, manufactured by the large UK-based pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline.

Lars Rombo, Professor of infectious diseases and Chief Physician at Mälarsjukhuset, a hospital in Eskilstuna, commented to the Swedish daily newspaper Dagens Nyheter that he intends to get vaccinated at the first opportunity.
”I hope that I belong to one of the risk groups of swine flu, as I work at a hospital. Vaccines have been one of the greatest achievements of mankind”, Rombo noted.
Mass vaccinations against swine flu are expected to start in Finland in early October.
