Tickets for Britney and Madonna concerts sell out (again)

In response to a record-high demand for tickets for megastar Madonna’s concert in Helsinki in August, a further 5,000 tickets were released yesterday - Monday. The ticket prices ranged from EUR 99 to EUR 119, with a total of 2,000 of the tickets being for the best Golden Circle places.
     
At the same time, tickets for Britney Spears’ concert went on sale at Finnish ticket agencies and were sold in a matter of hours. In fact, the entire concert was almost sold out by the evening.
      At that point, only a few tickets in the cheapest EUR 99 category were available, as the more expensive tickets had been sold right away.
      A total of some 40 special seats carried a hefty price tag of EUR 400, while some special seats were also available for EUR 300 and EUR 250.
      When the sales of tickets began on Monday morning, they promptly caused the ticket-vendors’ online sales portal to overload and crash.
     
Madonna is to play a gig at the new venue of Jätkäsaari, a former dockland site in Helsinki’s West Harbour, on August 6th.
      Her Sticky and Sweettour is said to be the largest public event in history to be staged in Finland.
     
Britney Spears is to take the stage at the Helsinki Arena on July 16th.
      This is the artist’s first visit to Finland. The Circus Starring Britney Spears tour was launched in the USA in March.
