Sir Thomas Jones Woodward, OBE, better known to most as Tom Jones, who was awarded a knighthood in the 2006 New Year Honours, will be performing in Helsinki’s Hartwall Arena on Sunday September 20th.
The legendary Welsh crooner was supposed to appear at the International Pori Jazz Festival this July, but his arrival was cancelled as a consequence of a communication gap between the artist’s own organisation and the international concert promoter Live Nation.
The 68-year-old Welsh tiger was last seen in Finland in 2003 when he made appearances in Helsinki and Turku.
Tom Jones has sold over 100 million records since 1965, including It’s Not Unusual, What’s New Pussycat, Never Fall In Love Again, Delilah, Green Green Grass of Home, and Sex Bomb.
Ticket sales for the show are to start at Lippupiste ticket offices on Monday May 11th.
