Former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger is a walking, talking example that one does not have to drop one's accent and affect an Oxford accent or an American drawl in order to be proficient in English. Then again, notwithstanding the guttural German tone, Kissinger's fluency is hardly to be compared with some of the Finnish examples.
