Members of the political parties standing in front of the TV-monitors waiting pensively for the first results from the 1999 European Parliament elections. It seems likely they will find little to get enthusiastic about in the voter turnout this time around, either. A recent poll shows only around 32% of respondents have a clear intention to vote in the June election.
