Public order in metro stations is currently monitored from a control room in
Hakaniemi. There are a total of more than 400 surveillance cameras on the
stations. The images recorded by these change continuously on the bank of
monitors. If cameras are introduced also on trains, it is likely that these
pictures will be transmitted only to the driver and will be recorded
digitally onto a computer.
