Sales clerk Arja Jaara searches the crowded storage space of the Alko liquor store in Nuorgam near the Norwegian border. Finland's lower taxes on alcohol have led to a sharp increase in sales in Alko retail outlets near Norway and Sweden, where alcoholic beverages are much more expensive than in Finland. The Nuorgam Alko will be expanded in a few months to help cope with the increased demand from Norway.
