FC Haka from Valkeakoski secured the 2004 Finnish League title with two rounds of the season still to play. Haka collected the vital three points to shrug off the challenge of Tampere United in a dramatic encounter with Myllykosken Pallo that finished 4-3. Haka, who can claim nine titles in all, last won the League Championship in 2000. This season they have completely dominated proceedings, with only two defeats so far in 24 matches played. MyPa's goals on Saturday marked only the first time this season that Haka have conceded three goals in a match. The club is also celebrating its 70th birthday this year, having been founded in 1934.
