An almost complete solo album has got Ray Davies out on the road again. His touring plans this year have been hampered by his getting shot in the leg by a mugger in New Orleans in January, and by exhaustion after trying to hurry his recovery. He also took time out to collect a CBE from Buckingham Palace in March. Davies showed no ill-effects from any of these experiences in Helsinki.
