Two people died and several were injured in a massive pile-up on the Porvoo motorway on Thursday morning, as road surfaces were made treacherously slippery by overnight snow and freezing rain. Countless accidents, with at least three fatalities, were reported all over the Greater Helsinki region, and many major arteries into the city were blocked for hours.
