Contact with the helicopter was lost three or four minutes after it took off from the Copterline terminal close to the passenger harbour in Tallinn. At the time of the crash, the helicopter was close to the island of Naissaar (Naissaari in Finnish). Latest reports at 16:00 on Tuesday, some three hours after the crash, suggest that the passengers and crew are still in the hull of the helicopter, which is lying in at least 50 metres of water. There is little hope of any survivors.
