Hurricane Katrina swept through Louisiana and Mississippi. Insurers are
already talking of the disaster in financial terms; it is anticipated
that Katrina will outrun even Hurricane Andrew, with claims possibly as
high as USD 25 billion. Meanwhile, the full extent of the devastation
and death-toll is still only beginning to emerge.
