Suvi-Anne Siimes announced on Wednesday that she would be resigning from the leadership of the opposition Left Alliance. "That was quite a stunt you pulled", commented Social Democrat chairman Eero Heinäluoma (left). On the right is Green MP Ulla Anttila. Political commentators have already speculated that the biggest beneficiaries of the announcement are likely to be within the SDP and the Greens, rather than in the Left Alliance itself.
