Sixty randomly-selected passers-by were asked to choose the spot they perceived to be the absolute centre of Helsinki and to place a red pin in their selection. The area swamped by pins basically covers the main railway station, the southern reaches of Mannerheimintie, and the western end of Aleksanterinkatu.
