Everything appeared to be all right in June when Nokia and Siemens announced a planned merger of their network operations. Nokia CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, Nokia Siemens Networks CEO Simon Beresford-Wylie, and Siemens President and CEO Klaus Kleinfeld announced the merger in Frankfurt.
