The Gustav Adolf two anchors are clearly visible at
the bottom of the sea. Parts of the wreck cover a one-hectare area of
the sea bed. This Swedish ship of the line went aground on a
reconnaissance mission in the war between Sweden and Russia in 1788. It
was taken over by the Russians, who captured the crew and scuttled the
vessel.
