The graphs show the pace of Russian growth, and also indicates that the banks have some catching up to do. The two lower figures show loans in billions of dollars to private households (left) and to businesses, measured in roubles - the darker colour - and foreign currencies. The other graph shows GDP growth for Russia (Venäjä), Finland (Suomi), and the Euro area between 1997 and this year. Figures for 2006 are for January to April.
