Chinese dissident Hu Jia met with the Helsingin Sanomat China correspondent at a downtown Beijing restaurant on February 7th, 2006. Ten days after the interview, Hu Jia disappeared for more than five weeks, and his wife and family had no idea of his whereabouts. His abductors were from the state security services, who have been keeping Hu Jia under surveillance for some years.
