Zeng Jinyan talks to the international press at a briefing in a Beijing hotel in March 2006, after her husband Hu Jia had disappeared. It later transpired that the AIDS and democracy activist Hu had been taken by plain-clothes state security officials and held for over a month without charge. He reurned home on March 28th, in poor health.
